Massive Makeup Haul (Sephora, LA Splash, NYX and some more)
What’s the excuse for a makeup haul this time? Well, it is my birthday … But I think we’re beyond the point of trying to make excuses and I’ve long accepted that I have a problem. But we’ll leave that for the Shopaholics Anonymous (Netflix just added Confessions of a Shopaholic and I’m watching right now, how appropriate).
Sephora was having a 20% off for women’s day and who am I to pass that opportunity.
Another product I just had to try is the new Benefit BADgal BANG mascara. I’m not usually for high-end mascaras (I really don’t see much difference, especially for the price). But since they do offer a mini size and I’m pretty sure it’s half the size for half the price. I don’t ever finish up mascara anyways, I thought that was worth it.
The Tony Moly Tako sticks I have never seen before. But like all Tony Moly products, I couldn’t resist the cuteness. I mean how cute is the little octopus??! The one I picked is a cleansing stick, although they have other things, like highlighter and cream. Really curious to see how it performs. I have to say though, the amount of actual product is actually really small.
Lastly, I got two moisturizing products. For some reason, I have been good with my routine so I decided to treat myself to more serious products. As my skin is always dry I need all the help I can get. The Origins Ginzing Moisturizer looks like a perfect everyday cream for me. I also really love the packaging for some reason. I have seen Dr. Jart+ products all over for a while now, and the Hydra Vital hydrating mask intrigued me and I can’t wait to try it.
So, this was the haul that I planned to post, but then I decided to go to Cosmoprof. Which obviously resulted in more spending:
Powderful is a product produced especially for Cosmoprof. Every year they take a product and show the whole development and everything that goes into creating it. Not only was it really interesting to see all the materials and all the brands that worked on it, but I really like the powder and especially the brush. I will be looking into the brand that created the brush, no doubt.
Walking through the international section, I got called to try a mascara. The mascara was Magnetic Lash by Santhilea and I was really impressed at first try, so can’t wait to play with it more.
At the Creme Shop booth, I got sucked in the cuteness of unicorn packaging (I was trying to convince myself I was over it). And I ended up picking a diamond shaped marble sponge. Cute packaging aside the sponge is actually really soft, which I love.
The NYX booth was giving away a makeup case with high enough purchase so you can guess what happened.
Last but not least, the LA Splash booth. I couldn’t believe how cheap they were selling their stuff for, so I didn’t hold back. I actually wish I had gotten more…
Again, I got something for my mom, this time the Sinfully Angelic Lipgloss in shade Hadraniel. For me, of course, I had to get one lipstick from the Classic Horror collection. The one I picked is Dr. Jakyll and Ms Hyde, I just really liked the colour and it doesn’t look like anything I already own but still “wearable”. The Crystallized Glitter in Hawaiian Fizz is unlike any other product on the market so once again, I just had to. Another unique colour for the kind of product it is the UD Wings Liner in shade Enchantress. The formula is very different as well, so I’m really excited to try it.
There were some exclusive products that have yet to be released, which I’m going to review asap, so I’m not going to spend too many words here. But these products are the Hydro Liquid Shadow and the Wickedly Divine Liner and they are absolutely gorgeous. The Wickedly Divine shade range is especially amazing from what I’ve seen. I’m really regretting only picking one shade of each formula.
