This month flew by! When I realised it was already time for a new monthly favourites post, I was surprised that not many beauty products came to mind. But the (very) few I have practically become staples.
Kathleen Lights spoke very highly about this perfume multiple times. I wanted to get this for my birthday, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Then, one day, I stumbled upon a closing shop and I got it for 50% off. It smells like a dream. I’m not the best at describing scents, I’d say it’s sweet and elegant but still feels fresh and young. Absolutely in love.
ColourPop x Kathleen Lights – Porter
When I bought the collection this came in, I was super excited, but then I never felt inspired enough to use them. So, they kind of ended at the bottom of my makeup drawer. Then I just randomly picked Porter up one day. Lately, this is all I’ve been wearing. I love it put all over the lid and then blend it out.
I wasn’t expecting to like this at all. Essence has proved many times in the past that they didn’t realise what matt actually meant (they released multiple ‘matt lipsticks’ that are straight up glosses). This lip is actually matte and is super comfortable as well. The scent kinda throws me off but is something I can get over. This has been my everyday nude for the whole month.
I don’t usually get along with Tezenis sizing. Their sports bra only have two sizes, which made believe this wouldn’t fit me. But I’m a basic blogger and I can’t resist anything in marble print. Luckily, it fits perfectly, meaning it’s comfortable but holds everything in place at the same time. I also love the fact that it has a zipper in front. I may or may not have been wearing it even when I’m not working out. Definitely looking to get the matching leggings whenever I find them (they’re always out of stock in my size).
Darker Shade of Magic V.E. Schwab
I’ve had this book for a while and finally managed to read it. I’m sure I was scared of being disappointed because I had such high expectations. But I wasn’t. Had to finish the last half in a whole day, because I just couldn’t close the book. It was great from start to finish and I can’t wait to keep going with the series. If you’re a fantasy reader I definitely suggest picking this up if you haven’t already.
The book was in my TBR for a year now, but I never felt like reading it. Then, the TV series started and I’m loving it so far. So, since I have to wait for a new episode every week, I decided to finally start the book. I’m that impatient. I gave the book 5 stars, that’s how much I enjoyed it. It only took me a few days (up until this month I’ve been such a slow reader) because it kept me glued. Part of the ending really surprised me as well, which is saying something, because I always seem to figure it out. The series looks tweaked enough that it makes me wonder if the ending it’s still going to be the same.
