When Kat Von D finally launched in Italy, I knew that trying at least one Everlasting Lip was in order. Choosing a shade was a “struggle” as there are so many to pick from.
I’m a new convert to the nude lip. You see a while ago if I had money to spend on a lipstick I would on a crazy colour. Not one that looks like my lips. With getting older the situations where I can rock reds and purples are far less. But not wearing lipstick just doesn’t feel right and now I’m getting my hands on every nude I can find.
I’ve heard so many good things about Kat Von D Bow N Arrow. I was pretty sure that was the shade I had to try If I only had to get one. But when I went to look up swatches it looked like every person was wearing a different shade. So I decided to wait a little longer and try to find it in stores, so I could swatch it myself.
Bow N Arrow is one of those shades that changes depending on skin tone, lip colour, intensity, light… On me, it looks like a beige with a pink almost mauve undertone. The mauve did appear a lot more after time during the wear time.
The formula is smooth and surprisingly not drying at all. It’s not weightless, you can definitely feel it’s there but not in an uncomfortable way. It dries quickly but still allows time to be applied precisely. I didn’t notice any flaking or excessive dryness at first but I did after the fifth hour. Personally, I suffer from very dry lips so I wouldn’t dare to wear a liquid lip (with no primer underneath) for that long anyway.
