Beauty Empties: products I’ve used up

beauty empties

It’s rare for me to finish up products, mostly because I’m a shopaholic and tend to try the new things and forget about the old ones. But somehow I managed to finish some things, might as well share them with you! Here are my beauty empties:

Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer

This has been a wonderful daily moisturizer for me. I have really dry skin and this was lightweight but got the job done. The skin truly felt energized and moisturized.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but I heard the formula has changed and people are not happy about it, so I’d like to get a sample of that first.

Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water Delicate Skin and Eyes

I’ve used up so many the “basic” Garnier Micellar Water and the Oil Infused for Dry skin (the “yellow” one). This one is the biphase with the blue oil, I didn’t like as much. Even with the help of the oil, that’s supposed to break up the makeup and make removal easier, it really didn’t. The Yellow one for dry skin is much better for that.

Would I repurchase? this version, no. The other ones I have repurchased time and time again and will continue to do so.

Pixi Glow Tonic

This one was a sad one. This is basically the product that started my interest in skincare. It was able to fix little bumps on my face that had been there for years and dermatologist refused to touch because “laser is the only option but that will leave scars, so it’s not worth it”. A very effective product that is still somehow gentle (for being a Glycolic Acid exfoliator).

Would I repurchase? Yes. I have a couple of similar toners to go through first, but definitely yes.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

The Goof Proof Brow Pencil has been an everyday staple for me for a while, it’s finally time to say goodbye. So many people seem to prefer the other Benefit pencil, cause it’s more precise. I don’t mind that, but for everyday quick makeup, the Goof Proof allowed me to get the job done much faster.

Would I repurchase? Again, so many other brow products to finish up and others I want to try, but I find myself needing this one back I 100% would.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

I’ve abused this product during flu season to avoid my face becoming overly dry and really enjoyed it. Very hydrating, a really lovely product overall. I would only use this as skincare and not over makeup as it leaves droplets.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream

This was a travel size tube that I squeezed till the last drop. This cream is very thick and rich. I really liked the effect it had on my skin when I had really painful breakouts and thin spots it did soothe it. It also helped conceal the redness a tiny bit. I hate how it wears under makeup though. It makes everything look horrible

Would I repurchase? … I don’t know. I would love the same result in a less thick cream, one that I can wear underneath makeup. I’m sure there’s something in the huge Cicapair lineup that Dr. Jart+ has, but there’s so many I just don’t know what to go for.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

I enjoyed using up this product, I definitely found it hydrating. Left my skin plump. The problem is, I don’t feel it really cleanses that well. Towards the end of the bottle, I started using another cleanser before so that my skin would feel clean and then went over with this one to put moisture back onto my skin. Maybe I’m the problem as I tend to associate my skin feeling stripped down to it being clean, I don’t know.

Would I repurchase? No, but I’d love to give the other CeraVe Cleansers a go next.
