By now you should know, I love trying new makeup. But while some people find brands that like and stick with those, I love trying makeup from new brands even more. Of course, It Cosmetics is not a new brand by any means, but it’s new to me. I never realised it was available in Europe until Cult Beauty started selling them.
So, unless the brand is really new and only has a few products, the question is: what do I get? Do I go for the newest product or the most popular?
In this case, of course, I went for the most popular. Or at least I tried to.
Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer – Light
This is, of course, the #1 product from the brand. When my love for makeup started and I discovered YouTube this is all I heard about. And for a really good reason. It’s such a great product. Creamy so it blends beautifully but not overly so. Some concealers are so creamy all they do is
Your Skin but Better CC+ Illumination – Light Medium
I actually wanted to try the original CC+ Cream, but my shade and other light ones were out of stock. My shade was actually out of stock of the Illumination version too, but I thought I could work with light-medium. I sure as hell wasn’t going to get the matte version (I have really dry skin). The shade is a tad too dark for me, I might have to keep for summer or mix with lighter foundations I own.
I did try it alone for a few days though, so I have some thoughts. The formula is creamy and kinda thick, I actually expected it to be more liquid and oily (most BB creams I own are like that). It actually has very good coverage, I would say medium. It doesn’t set on its own, it’s one of those foundations that feels wet throughout the day and will transfer onto anything that touches your face. I don’t mind this that much because I love the dewy finish so much. One thing I just don’t understand is why there’s glitter all over this cream. From afar it gives that glow to the face but if you look closely you can clearly see glitter and I really wish there wasn’t. I’m actually going to get the original CC cream hoping it’s similar to this minus the glitter. And in the correct shade!

Heavenly Luxe Angled Radiance Brush #10
Okay, so I have heard Kathleen Lights rave about the Love is the Foundation brush for ages. That was limited edition and I believe it comes out every year on Valentines day, but I don’t know if Cult Beauty will have it. Anyway I always thought their brushes were great quality and I wanted to try one.
I was pretty disappointed with this at first. The brush smelled heavily of glue, in fact, there was glue residue over the handle and the bristles. The handle was also sticky. After cleaning everything up everything, the bristles feel higher quality than everything I own. The brush is very dense but still very soft. I still don’t know if it’s worth the price tag, but it’s definitely a very high-quality brush (glue issues aside, mine could have just been faulty). It actually blends powders so much better than my other brushes do and it works great with creams as well.
Overall, this was such a great first impression from the brand and I can’t wait to try more. Standout was the concealer, although if the CC cream didn’t have glitter it would have been a tie.
