3 Spring Eyeshadow Trends

spring eyeshadow trends

Hello World! I have been thinking about some spring looks I wanted to create and while looking for inspiration I couldn’t help but notice 3 major trends for this season:

From the bright and bold to something more subdued like mustards, I keep seeing yellow tones everywhere. And I’m loving it. A pigmented yellow shadow is one of the shades that is really hard to find, but Sugarpill always killing it in that department and Buttercupcake is no exception. Another very affordable option is Tiki from ColourPop. But if you’re not that brave you might want to go with a more wearable option. I have been loving mustard eyeshadows for a while now. My two favourites are Caramel by Nabla and Paper Tiger from ColourPop. I have recently added a new one to my collection as well, which is the beautiful Tonka from Neve Cosmetics.

Mauve pink

I have been loving seeing and using these colours as a light wash all over the lids. When I think of this trend I can’t help but think of the Soft Glam palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. The whole palette screams romantic spring looks but the mauve shades (Rose Pink, Dusty Rose, Sultry and Cyprus Umber) are right on this trend. Another perfect palette to achieve the soft effortless look are the Charlotte Tilbury Bigger, Brighter Eyes in Exaggereyes or the newest Eye-conic palette in Fantascene from Marc Jacobs Beauty.

Since Pantone announced Ultra Violet as the colour of the year, I have been seeing purple everywhere. I’ve never been fond of purple eyeshadows because the quality was never really up to par to other shadows. But I have been loving the Nabla Dreamy palette, which pretty much reintroduced me to violet eyeshadows. Another great palette I have been raving about is the Good Vibes from Mulac Cosmetics, which contains my all-time favourite matte violet shades.
